We Have a Ghost (2023)

i think this might be in my top 5 and its a NETFLIX ORIGINAL but hear me out hear me out.

Disclaimer: i am writing this at 1AM and i am DELIRIOUS so i apologize in advance for how unhinged this blog is about to be

im obsessed with this movie. the concept? iconic. the characters? devoured every second of screen time. the visuals? i could watch Ernest all day its so satisfying.

I sobbed at the end of this movie which i know isnt saying a lot... because im me but like i had every right to cry. I refuse to spoil this movie so im not gonna say why i cried but i did and id do it again.

i dont even know where to start. i mean the plot concept as a whole is so interesting. it sounds like a stupid plot idea if i was to summarize it. like the general synopsis is a family finds a ghost in their house and go viral which causes the government to chase them around while kevin tries to help ernest move on. that sounds boring. but it is so not. i mean i was so invested the whole time.

The characters in this movie were all so fleshed out. i dont think any of the characters didnt have a independent storyline. Frank realized he was a garbage dad and worked towards fixing himself, kevin had the classic coming of age storyline with a side of ghost. and then we have ernest who literally figured out his whole life story. he was also just a great character, he had so much personality and he cant even talk. and it was jsut overall a very feel good movie. no notes.

i know if some people that would watch this and be like "ThIs iS a sTuPid mOviE" blah blah blah but idc. not every movie needs nuance and a deeper meaning. respectfully, let me enjoy a stupid movie

i really recommend this movie please watch it so i can talk to someone about this
